2021 Highlights

Samunnati and The Economic Times, in conjunction with its institutional partners, advisory team and editorial members organised the 2nd Edition of “Samunnati presents The Economic Times – Farmer Producer Organisation Summit & Awards 2021”. The theme for the conference was “Stories of Stable & Sustainable growth for Farmers”.

The conference was designed to rediscover and remember FPOs’ successes, strengths, and periods of excellence. In the conference various panel discussions and sessions would were conducted in order to understand what more can be done, creating solutions which would work for the FPOs and agri ecosystem, creating a sustainable environment. The Summit witnessed a total of 958 attendees, that included policy makers, ag-tech institutions, financial Institutions, global thought leaders, NGOs and other development organisations working in the FPO sector. Strong participation from Government of India (SFAC, NABARD, Ministry for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare) was indicative of the current priorities of the Government and the importance of the FPOs and the holistic upliftment of farmers. Alongside the Summit, two closed door roundtables were organised with industry veterans on various topics on Market Linkages and Climate Smart Agriculture.
